The 4460 square kilometer Kaz Drill Solution Block with exploration license was acquired in September 2021. Since acquisition initial focus has been on the collection of all available data and construction of a digital database from scans of soviet era paper 2D seismic lines and well logs.
Works completed as of December 2022 includes:
- Digitized logs from 22 wells
- Reprocessed 38, 2D lines, 619 line-kilometers
- Digitized and conducted post-processing on 35. 2D lines, 739 line-kilometers
- Digitized 13 soviet era structural maps based on well and 2D seismic data
Currently data transformation and compilation continues. Simultaneously, acreage screening is ongoing to high grade areas for collecting new 2D and 3D seismic which will help identify the best prospects for drilling two new exploration wells by 2025.
